It is just a few small blocks (less than 1minute) from the port where the restaurants overlook the beautiful water.  It is comfortably located in a serene environment and the owner Aleco is endlessly kind and hospitable.  I have been staying at his hotel every time I come to Crete and have not had any bad experiences.
